NZ TRIP

Our lil' family went to New Zealand this past month to see my husband's family. His parents and siblings all live there with their families. They moved from the states back in 2000, so it had been a very long time since we'd seen them. It was a lovely reunion, Beanie and Drew got to meet their Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Heather for the first time and the last time Ala had seen them was when he was just a year old...it was certainly a highlight and memorable time for our family.

Interestingly enough, my sister, Mele married my husband's brother about 6 months after I was married to Justin. They also moved out to New Zeland back in 2001 and so I was sure anxious to see my sister again as well!! Here is a picture of Mel and I in New Zealand! How I love her!

Since our kids are related in all directions (LOL!) it makes them extra close, and even though they didn't grow up together, the bonding was instant! Here are a few video clips of our kids...I thnk this explains it all! Click on the link to see it.

We had such a great time out there with all the family! Here are few more pics from our trip.

This is a picture of my kids and I with my husband's lil' namesake. I am holding baby Justin Kaufana on the right along with his older brother Vita on the left. They are the sons of Lionel and Elenoa Kaufana. Lionel is my husband's 1st cousin. We were so happy when we heard they named their lil' one after Justin and we couldn't wait to mee the lil' guy in NZ.

Mel and I posing with Yvonne and Line. They are our husband's sisters. Yvonne in the green and Line in black. I named my only girl after Line and Mel's 2nd oldest is named after Yvonne. Grandpa Leni with baby Drew, Lini and Lame (Mel's palangi lookin' kids)
My lil' brother Pou posing with Lini, Lame and lil' Kalesita.

On a day at the NZ Pier in Christchurch, a fisherman caught a baby shark and let us hold him for a bit. Here's a pic of me holding it! My sister, Mel took the picture...I was rushing her to take the picture because I was afraid the baby shark was going to bite me...she was so nervous in doing so, that she cut my head off the picture...LOL!!
Below is another video clip of my son Ala holding it as well...so you can see why I was so scared holding it!

Gettin' Started...

So, I've been a fan of the "BLOGGERS" reading, laughing, "awwwing" and "oooohing" over pictures and videos of other blogspots, that I thought it would be a fun thing to start for myself. So thank you to all you wonderful friends and family who have shared your personal and family experiences with me...I've learned so much from you and hopefully you will experience the same.

Bear with me while I try to figure this all out!
